Hello, I am Ganesh#

I am a Senior Software Engineer with over a decade of experience building things for the web. These days, I am working at TradeRepublic Bank in Berlin, where I am part of the Banking department helping build features that touch millions of users.

Before TradeRepublic, I spent some time at On Cloud Services working on the On shop platform, and nearly three years at HelloFresh SE in their payments team. At HelloFresh, I also had the chance to lead a squad of frontend, mobile, and backend developers for about six months, which was a great learning experience in people management and cross-functional teamwork.

My Journey So Far#

The past ten-plus years have been quite a ride:

• TradeRepublic Bank (Berlin, 2026–present) — Senior Engineer II in the Banking department, working with TypeScript, Vue.js, Nuxt.js, and Node.js.

• On Cloud Services (Berlin, 2025) — Senior Software Engineer building features for the On shop platform.

• HelloFresh SE (Berlin, 2022–2024) — Senior Frontend Engineer in the payments team, shipping features with A/B testing capabilities and leading a diverse squad for six months.

• Walmart Global Tech (Chennai, 2020–2022) — Part of the InfoSec team, building compliance applications for GDPR and CCPA across 40+ brands in 16 countries.

• BookMyShow (Bangalore, 2018–2020) — Engineering Manager for the Live Events department, leading the migration to a modern React/Node.js stack and building custom D3.js visualizations.

• Airfi.aero (Bangalore, 2018) — Senior Full Stack Developer building inflight entertainment systems.

What I Work With#

Over the years, I have worked across the entire stack. My go-to tools include:

• Frontend: React, Vue.js, Angular, TypeScript
• Backend: Node.js, Next.js, Nuxt.js
• Mobile: React Native, Ionic
• State Management: Redux
• Other: Go (picked up at HelloFresh), and always exploring new things

I enjoy the challenge of taking complex problems and breaking them down into simple, scalable solutions. I have led teams, mentored engineers, and shipped products used by millions daily.

Beyond the Code#

When I am not coding, you will probably find me:

• Tinkering with mechanical keyboards — I love building and customizing them. Check out my notes on discovering mechanical keyboards and my first custom build.

• Sim racing — I have a whole project page dedicated to my rig and racing adventures.

• Photography — I enjoy capturing moments and have been slowly building out a photography section on this site.

• Exploring new tech — Currently diving into Rust and Go, because learning never really stops in this field.

This Digital Garden#

This website is my digital garden — a concept I fell in love with after reading Maggie Appleton’s A Brief History & Ethos of the Digital Garden. It is a space where I cultivate ideas, share what I am learning, and document my interests.

You will find three main areas here:

• Blog — Longer-form posts and stories
• Garden — Evergreen notes and thoughts in various stages of growth
• Photography — Photo albums and visual stories

The homepage features a 3D interactive graph of all my posts because I wanted something that felt like exploring a constellation of ideas.
